Accommodation is an uncountable noun. It means a place to live:

  • In Rome we had nice accommodation not far from the coast.
  • Not: In Rome we had a nice accommodation
  • Accommodation in San Francisco is very expensive.
  • Not: Accommodations in San Francisco are

You will sometimes hear the plural accommodations in American English.
